New laptop!!

Well the keyboard on my old laptop completely failed altogether this afternoon, so after long hard deliberation (honestly, it must have taken at least 2 minutes!) I decided to go out and get a brand new laptop :) So now I am free to blog well and truly and properly once more!

Anyways, I've just got home and got set up, so I've got a bit of stuff still to sort out, and then I shall finish blogging about the Dodgeball event later this evening :)

I'm very much a happy chappy right now :)

Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge!

Dodgeball!

Well it's been a week since the big Dodgeball event and my legs have finally stopped aching, so I think it's about time to blog about it :)
So yes, last Sunday I went down to London courtesy of Cadbury's, and spent most of the day playing Dodgeball with four olympic athletes - Kriss Akabussi, Rebecca Adlington, Amy Williams, and Phillips Idowu.  The massive downside at the start of the day was that I had to be at the sports club in Wimbledon by 10.30 in the morning, and the trains to London didn't run that early, so I had to get up at 4.30 to catch a coach instead.  But anyway, I got to London in good time, had a bagel for breakfast, and then made my way to the sports centre.

At the centre everyone was split into 4 teams, with one of the olympians captaining each team - I was on Kriss Akabussi's team.  This was all part of Cadbury's ongoing Spots v Stripes campaign, so there were 2 spot teams and 2 stripe teams - I was naturally showing off my stripey pride lol  Rebecca Adlington captained the other stripe team.  So after changing into our team kits it was time to start Dodgeballing! :)

There were some guys there from the UKDBA - the UK Dodgeball Association - to teach us the basics and referee the games, so we all sat down for a training video to see how the game is played.

Sorry, my keyboard's really playing up, I'll
have to post a second blog another time

I'm back!!! :-D

Hello one and all!

First and foremost let me say I'm sorry for my month's abscence from the internet - I unfortunately dropped and broke my laptop, which has kept me offline for a while.  But I've dug out my old laptop and am now using that to get myself back on the internet :) It's not a great machine - neither of the shift keys work, and half of the keyboard it a bit dodgy, but it just about works.

So anyways.  A month seems to have passed in the blink of an eye!  What have I got up to over the last month?  Well I finished watching Cowboy Bebop, and I really enjoyed that :) And I watched Elfen Lied, which was also pretty awesome.
Work is just work, there's nothing very exciting going on in that side of life.  I'm working back at Sandwell at the moment which is a bit depressing, but there's nothing really I can do about it.
This weekend could be quite interesting - I'm going to London courtesy of Cadburys to play Dodgeball against some olympic athletes!  Rather looking forward to that :)

Anyway, I'm being distracted by TV and can't keep a train of thought going at the moment, so I'm going to wander off now :) Be back to blogging again soon!
