Good morning folks. Well it's actually 1:45pm, but I've only just woken up so it's morning to me in relative terms. And being typical me, I've just woke up from an extremely odd dream - a cross between Pirates of the Caribbean, One Piece, and Warhammer 40,000.
I was Jack Sparrow (Captain Jack Sparrow, if you please), and as far as I remember the dream started with me searching through pawn shops for a nice decorative miniature table, which was to be a gift for a member of my pirate crew. My pirate crew was in fact the Straw Hat crew from One Piece, but whether the table was for Nami or Robin I can't remember.
Anyway I was passing through one shop when a really tiny wardrobe caught my eye (it was literally about 3 inches tall), so I stopped to take a closer look. While I was looking at this wardrobe the store owner came over to see if he could help, so I explained that I was actually after a table and I'd just been sidetracked by the wardrobe (which incidentally was priced at £11), but I wasn't planning on buying it. The store owner was understanding and instead asked if I'd be interested at all in their range of Sega Megadrive games (gotta love a bit of retro gaming!). So just to be polite I had a quick look, and I noticed a game (European Club Soccer, so be precise - a truly awful game even at the time!) which had got a price tag written in my handwriting. I realised it was my game, which I had last seen at home under the bed a few days earlier.
So I asked the store owner about where he got it, but he refused to tell me because he didn't know who I was. I confided in him that I was Jack Sparrow, and also told him who my crew was (who had at some point in the proceedings showed up in the shop). He seemed happy with this, and told me that the game was sold to him by an ork the previous day (which is where Warhammer 40,000 starts to creep in). I thanked him for his help, gathered my crew, and off we walked to the next availabled pawn shop to try and gather more clues!
It had started snowing very heavily and there were a good few inches on the ground when we reached the next shop, which was actually located in the same place as my barbers' is in real life. At the next shop there were no further clues, but the woman behind the counter was watching sattelite images of outer space on a computer screen, and telling us how worried she was because space was shrinking. I told her that it didn't bother me, because I was a sea-pirate and the oceans were always going to be big enough for me. Then a massive Ork warboss in mega-armour came thundering through the doors and I froze! But it turned out to be okay, because he'd just come in to browse.
We went back outside, and there was a team of mercenaries waiting to ambush us. Apparently they'd been following my trail and capturing all of the pawn shop owners because they thought they were a part of my crew.
And that's about it, I can't remember what happened after that, I think that might have been the end of the dream.
At some point later I was in command of a massive Imperial Guard army and I had to try and take back a fortress which had been overrun by the forces of Chaos, but I'm pretty sure that was a seperate dream altogether.
